Pop is a form of music which is generally light and melodious to hear.It is an abbreviation to popular music. Pop uses rhythmic beats in the background and a singer along with his accompanying artists. Pop music bands have currently employed sequencing and sampling to make their music more creative. Pop music can also have an induvidual singer or a band of members.
The first instance of such popular music was started in Italy when Alessandro Scarlatti composed his opera . Ever since that there has been no looking back. The pop was at its peak during the age known as “ the golden Eighties” where prominent figures like Michael Jackson Kylie Minogue and Madonna kept the momentum going. This was the age where it faced heavy competition from another popular type of music called Rock
Michael Jackson, Madonna, Kylie Minogue had their own individualistic styles.. It was estimated that the pop music industry was worth more than a whopping forty billion dollars. ! These stars toured a lot of countries. Although this type of music first started in Italy, its presence could be felt in countries like United States , to the Orient and the Oxident . Music sales reached an all time high . Even right now, There have been more pop bands than in any other form of music
