It had widely known that the widespread use of drugs had been at an all time high in the late 60’s. Drugs, also known as psychotic chemicals affect the central nervous system. The increasing use of drugs was largely bent on the spread of the new Music revolution. Bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple stimulated the drug use. The band members used drugs like cocaine, opium, speed, ice and tina during performances that enhanced their strength and got them into a new hallucinated world. These bands influenced the youngsters, who later followed their leaders. In the late 70’s, drastic steps were needed to reduce these effects.
Pyschadelic rock is a form of rock in which the a person generally injects a higly toxic chemical , and then listens to this type of rock. This type of rock is very slow and slowly bans him of all his senses. You can see that this has a very sensational effect on the listener and he begins imagining things. Such was the power of this kind of rock. Some of the prominent bands that covered this type of rock was the famous PINK FLOYD, which created a revolution with the hit song “Another Brick in the wall”. The DOORS were the first band to start this drug usage. Most of the bands that play heavy metal and rock rely on drugs to keep them numb during performances.
