Music as a art

Music in itself is an art. It takes years of practice to perfect a tune, or to compose . The Music Industry is defining music and marketing them. It is basically business dealing with Music, how to market new products, how to offer better solutions and finally launching new ones into the market. Most of these business organizations deal with creating, producing, distributing, and broadcasting of music.

The music industry in itself is very vast. It is made up entirely of individuals, companies, unions, not-for-profit associations, and rights collectives. Professional Artists or Bands may have collaborations with these companies and may sign records. Universal, Sony, Warner Music and EMI are the key players in the market. The music Industry was roughly established in the 1800’s and has been existent ever since. Most of the companies that sign records with the artists copyright their albums so that one cannot use it for his personal profit.

The business Structure is as follows. The Artists record the music at the studio owned by the recording company. These tracks are later compiled into an album which goes to the record distributor. The record distributor has collaborations with various other companies and he is responsible for the stocks and sales of these music at shops. Finally as customers we bear our own discretion to choose as we like. The total annual sales of CD’s and cassettes were reported to be 4 billion and that of the annual music industry turnout is around forty billion
