Death Metal

Death Metal is one of the extreme subgenres of heavy metal. It typically employs fast tempos, heavily distorted and downtuned guitars, deep growling vocals, morbid lyrics, blast beat drumming, and complex song structures with multiple tempo changes.

Death metal was developed from thrash metal and thrash metal bands like Slayer,Morbid Angel,Kreator are very influential.In the mid 80’s onwards bands like Obituary ,Death,Possessed etc. played a key role.The themes of death metal include themes of Satanism, , Occultism, mysticism, and/or social commentary.Although violence may be explored in various other genres as well, death metal elaborates on the details of extreme acts, including mutilation, dissection, torture, rape and necrophilia.

Death Metal has various sub genres within itself such as Melodic death metal, Technical death metal, Brutal death metal, Death/Doom, Blackened death metal, Deathgrind, Deathcore.Also death metal is fused nowadays with other music types.
