Radio

The Radio is probably the one invention which provided a distant communication at one point of time. But nowadays the radio has been more of an entertainment device rather than one for transmitting message. Gone are the days when people used to get a licence to buy a radio. Nowadays it is available in plenty and in cheap. Music Stations are places where Music reaches the receiver through a radio set installed by him.

Some of the prominent music channels have been Radio one, and Radio spin in the United States alone. The artist or the performer performs at the studio. It is then transmitted though wireless radio frequencies. Radio’s increasing prominence was felt in the early 60’s when a lot of bands came into existence. Many people used radios as their sole means of entertainment. It has been seen that people nowadays prefer to listen to their favorite tracks in their own digital players than actually listening to a radio. In fact one of the tracks of the song “Video Killed the Radio Star” by the band Buggles shows how the Television totally changed the outlook of the music industry. This song mocks at the television where the true form of music is made into a video which is not a good sign for the people who listen to it. It deprives people of creative imagination.

In America, There are more radio stations than the entire television channels all put together. Although people listening to music in a radio has come down drastically, it is still a source of entertainment and probably companionship to those who like to travel alone.
