Playstation 3

I have over the past few days been able to get my hands to meddle with a Playstation 3 and i think this is the most amazing console gaming experience i have ever had. The whole package is appealing. It has got an extremely stylish look with touch button operations on its body and nice lights. The PS3 uses blu-ray discs and all games released for the PS3 come only in blu-ray formats. This give game developers full freedom in designing games with no limit in the graphics and sizes of their games. Each of these blu-ray discs has a capacity of about 5 times the storage of a normal DVD. A single layer blu-ray has a capacity of about 25 GB and a dual layer blu-ray disc can store data about 50GB in size!!! Now that is a lot of space and hence game developers have no constraint on the size of their game and graphics involved in each game.

Its wireless controllers are a delight for gaming and the new ones with vibrators built in adds to the great gaming experience. Games like ‘Guitar Hero’ , ‘FIFA 2009′ and ‘Metal Gear Solid 4′ on the PS3 are at a different level altogether.
The PS3 when played on a LCD which supports full HD (high definition) is an experience worth dying for! It is “mindblowing”.
Everyday new games are being made for the PS3 so i think it is really worth its price

Alternative Rock

Alternative Rock was a kind of music that surfaced in the 80’s and it went on to become massively popular in the 90’s and is still very popular even today. Alternative rock consists of various subgenres such as grunge, Britpop, gothic rock, and indie pop.It involves guitar music first of all, with guitars that blast out power chords, pick out chiming riffs, buzz with fuzztone and squeal in feedback

The popular and commercial success of Nirvana’s 1991 album Nevermind took alternative rock into the mainstream, establishing its commercial and cultural viability. As a result, alternative rock became the most popular form of rock music of the decade and many alternative bands garnered commercial and critical success.

Alternative metal is similar to alternative rock and it fuses the likes of heavy metal with the playing style of alternative rock but with more of guitar distortion.Alternative rock lyrics tend to address topics of social concern, such as drug use, depression, and environmentalism. In Alternative rock the songs are shorter compared to other rock types especially progressive rock.Notable artists in alternative rock include Nirvana,Sound Gardern,Staind etc
